Edumate Frequently Asked Questions

How do I access the Edumate Carer or Student Portals?

You may login at http://groves.link/edumate. Parents can login using the login details provided at enrolment. Students can login using their normal college username and password.

I do not have login details or have forgotten my password

Providing we have your email address on record, and it is unique to you, you may retrieve your username or reset your password by selecting the “Can’t Login” button in the lower left corner of the login box.

What can I currently access in the Edumate Carer Portal?

  • Academic reports – download previously issued school reports
  • Awards – view a record of any school issued awards
  • Discipline – view a record of disciplinary incidents recorded
  • Calendar – view upcoming events applicable to your children
  • Attendance – view school and class attendance data
  • Timetable – a live timetable that includes classes, excursions or other changes to activities
  • Sick bay & medication – records your student’s visits and any medications administered
  • Upcoming tasks & task results – upcoming assessment items with results for completed tasks (Secondary School only)
  • Update Details – update basic contact and medical details for yourself and your children

Further features will be released over time.

Can I update emergency contact details?

Whilst you can update details for yourself, unfortunately, due to privacy implications, it is not possible to update your children’s emergency contact details for other carers or contacts via the Carer Portal. You will need to continue to contact the College administration to do this. Administration staff can be contacted on (07) 3380 5800 or by emailing groves@groves.qld.edu.au.

How do I view task results?

Task results are presently only available for Secondary students. Please refer to the step by step instruction guide.

What do the attendance status codes mean?

  • Present
    The student was present for the entire day.
  • Absence Unexplained
    The student was absent for the entire day without explanation. Explanation may be provided via the Carer Portal.
  • Absence Illness
    The student was absent for the entire day due to illness.
  • Absence Verified
    The student was absent for the entire day due to another personal reason.
  • Absence Unverified
    The student was absent for the entire day and the school has requested verification. Verification may be provided via the Carer Portal.
  • Partial Absence Unexplained
    The student was marked absent for at least one period without any explanation.
  • Partial Absence Illness
    The student was marked absent for at least one period, or was signed out early due to illness.
  • Partial Absence Verified
    The student was marked absent for at least one period, or was signed out early due to another personal reason.
  • Partial Absence Unverified
    The student was marked absent for at least one period, or was signed out early due and the school has requested verification. Verification may be provided via the Carer Portal.
  • Late Unexplained
    The student was late to school without explanation. Explanation may be provided via the Carer Portal.
  • Late Unverified
    The student was late to school and the school has requested verification. Verification may be provided via the Carer Portal.
  • Late Verified
    The student was late to school due to another personal reason.
  • Late Illness
    The student was late to school due to illness.
