On Wednesday 20 June, Distance Education families participated in the Term Two Excursion to Tamborine Mountain. We began the day at the Rainforest Skywalk, exploring the native flora and fauna of the rainforest canopy 30 metres above the Cedar Creek rock pools and the rainforest.
Families enjoyed a picnic lunch together down by the lake at the Botanical gardens and discovered some of the gardens and trails, including the interactive Sooty Owl Walk. Our final destination was the Cedar Creek Glow Worm caves. Students were invited to get an up close view of glow worms in the purpose-built cave.
Thank you to all of the families that braved the cold mountain morning to share this exciting and educational day with their friends, family and teachers.
