The righteous choose their friends carefully (Proverbs 12:26).
The College encourages open, supportive, and respectful friendships between students. It is our belief that co-ed schooling allows students the opportunity to build solid friendships based on respect between friends of both genders. These friendships should reflect an extended family code of conduct.
Do not rebuke an older man harshly but exhort him as if he were your father. Treat younger men as brothers, older women as mothers, and younger women as sisters, with absolute purity (1 Timothy 5:1-2).
They should be described in the following manner.
- Building each other up
- Looking out for each other
- Doing things for the common good
- Respecting differences
- Not exclusive
- Creating a great atmosphere of enjoyment
- Challenging each other to do good and what is right
- Cheering each other on to excel in developing our God given gifts and talents
- Sharing the journey by helping make the hassles less of a burden
By developing friendships students gain social skills and support.
Enrolments for 2019
Thank you for your ongoing support. Through your recommendations our College continues to receive enrolments from new families. We are already full across a number of year levels for 2019, with families on a waiting list when vacancies become available.
Please ensure that you inform family and friends of the need to complete enrolment applications now for 2019. We currently have spaces in Year 7 for 2019 as we plan to move to four classes with the enrolments we already have for 2019. Prep enrolments are strong for 2019. Current community members need to ensure they complete enrolment forms for their 2019 Prep children (even if they are part of our Kindy Program) before the end of the term. From July, new families to Groves have equal opportunity to secure a Prep placement as existing families based on enrolment order and suitability to our program.
