We are now halfway through Term 2! This is a good opportunity for families to take some time to reflect on learning progress and tracking against goals. It is also a time for parents to acknowledge quality work or improvements in behaviour, effort or organisation. Here are some questions for you to consider as you reflect on the term so far.
Take stock of progress so far – How do you know if your child is prepared for each school day?
Assess their study habits – Does your child hand in his or her homework? Is it correct and on time? Do they have a suitable study environment at home?
Keep open lines of communication – What specific skills is your child struggling to master? Is there a concern that I need to raise with the class teacher?
Discuss social development – What are the names of my child’s friends? What Clubs are available for them to join?
