End of the year celebrations
Last Friday the Year 10 and 11 students spent the day at Robina having quality time together with their peers and teachers. A scavenger hunt also featured as a highlight for those students who participated.
The Year 7, 8 and 9 students enjoyed a great day at Wet ‘N’ Wild enjoying celebrating the year with their friends and teachers whilst enjoying the splashing water, laughter and memory making.
The Semester 2 reports for secondary students will be available by the middle of next week.
Families will receive an email notification containing a link to access the report electronically through the Edumate Carer’s portal.
We highly recommend you view individual assessment task feedback accessible on the Carer’s portal. The accompanying assessment feedback and report help form the progress of each student’s learning journey.
Reflecting on such feedback is an important process in identifying goals and areas for improvement in order to refocus for the new school year in 2018.
This is my last week at Groves Christian College and I would like to thank all the families for your support. I have had the privilege of enrolling many families in the Secondary school and meeting with families and students to form relationships. It has been an honour to help empower families through Learning Safari evenings by showcasing online tools such as the Cyber Safety program and the ITC ThinkDrive which aid in enhancing students’ Personal Best.
Groves Christian College holds a special place in my heart and I will continue to pray for all the families, students and staff in the Secondary School to prosper and live out the College vision of ‘Loving Hearts, Strong Minds’.
I pray that all the Secondary School families and students have a refreshing, restoring Christmas and New Year holidays to return in 2018 refocused for a great year.
Signing off for the last time as Head of Secondary with my prayers and gratitude.
